Black Girls in Media is Back to Host Their 2nd Digital Conference

Black Girls in Media, is back with another exciting digital event to get black women inspired.

Speakers include Dani Kwateng with Teen Vogue, E! Entertainment’s Brittinee RoyesDanielle Young, Black Girl Pod’s Sapphira Em, along with leading media professionals Tiffany Bender of Conde Nast, Ashley Jones with Buzzfeed, and many special appearances. 

About Black Girls in Media

BGIM is a networking organization established to uplift and support minority women in the media industry. Tasha McCaskiel, freelance publicist and fashion enthusiast from Charlotte, NC, created this organization in 2018 to help women of color on their mission to be the best version of themselves. BGIM’s sole purpose is to connect women in media all over the world through their exclusive platform, events and more. Since it’s creation, BGIM has provided over 500 opportunities for Black women all over the world. Partnering with corporations such as Bloomberg, NBC and more; their efforts have demonstrated to their audience hope, optimism and life-changing results to catapult their careers. 

Digital Conference 2.0

Now, the empowering conference is going digital for another 2 days of vital knowledge, new connections and virtual camaraderie. In May, Black Girls In Media established the first digital conference, similarly, encourage and support young women who are dealing with transformative, challenging times in their careers during the crisis. The conference served over 300 women. Speakers included, FORBES contributor Pauleanna Reid, comedian PrettyVee, marketing specialist Audria Richmond and many others.

During this difficult shift in the world, black women are fighting harder than usual to simply be protected. This conference serves as a friendly reminder to the women unsure of their place in the industry, that there is an opportunity for them. The featuring guests of trailblazers in the black media industry, show just that. 

Black Girls In Media Digital Conference 2.0 will feature specially moderated, interactive panels and networking sessions to execute long-lasting connections and to provide hope and support for entry-level media professionals who are actively searching for employment opportunities and career knowledge.
