More and more female M.C’s have been rocking the mic and pushing to liberate women through the women empowerment movement with their music. There has always been this false narrative running that woman can’t deliver like their male counterparts. However, women have been unapologetically challenging those beliefs, defying stereotypes, breaking barriers, and Mulatto is no exception.
Since arriving on the scene Mulatto has been catching eyes and making noise. As previously seen on Jeramine Dupri’s “The Rap Game” she went from teen to trouble shaking up the industry with her highly anticipated album “Queen of Da Souf“, paying homage to her Georgia roots.
Prior to the album she dropped singles like “B*tch from Da Souf” that even living legend, Rihanna bumped.
All this momentum landed Miss Latto’s an induction into XXL’s 2020 Freshman List. Needless to say she held her own and “broke the internet” in a cypher with New York’s Fivio Foreign , Calboy, and 24kGoldn, just to name a few.
Its only up from here for Atlanta native , Mulatto. Watch the Cole Bennett directed visual for “On God” below.
