Ryélle is an R&b artist from Buffalo, New York’s west side. Growing up on the West side of Buffalo, music served as an escape from Ryélle’s chaotic home environment. Using effective contemporary R&B harmonies and instrumentation, Ryélle’s music and songwriting is inspired by her own personal experiences and feelings. She aims to “reach and motivate young women”.
In 2018, Ryélle saw success in her debut release “Swim” which is a bass/drum heavy R&B jam produced by Dreamville producer Kaleb ‘K Quick’ Rollins and written by the songstress herself.
Now he is back with a new record and visual for “Cinderella”. Produced by multi-platinum producer De-Capo (credits include T-Pain, Iggy Azalea, etc.), “Cinderella” is the first record from Ryélle’s new two-song EP SOLO, released last month.
The single’s official music video is out now. Directed by Diego Cruz (director of Fabolous‘s “Cold Summer” video), the visual treatment serves as part one to Ryélle’s full, modern retelling of the classic Cinderella folk tale.
“‘Cinderella’ is about a love that becomes disappointing because the other person isn’t in the same place as the other person. You want to give that person some time to get their shit together but time is ticking literally. The song talks about ‘having a carriage waiting…’, whether he decides to get his shit together or not… The Cinderella theme used here symbolizes how you might miss out on a great opportunity at love if you let the ‘clock strike out’.”Ryélle
